Korea Day 7 (Theater and Dance Class)

Really wished to go to this ๐Ÿ™‚

Today after class, my program went to see a play called Baebijang-jeon at the Jeongdon Theater. At first I was a bit worried about understanding it, but it turned out fine.ย English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles were shown on side monitors during the narration scenes and of course the dances were easy to understand because nobody spoke. The choreography was very interesting. I was a little surprised at how some of it wasnโ€™t clean despite the fact that they were all professional dancers, moved very similarly, and only performed in groups of 5 or so at a time. Maybe I was expecting them to be as robotically in sync as K-Pop groups. The traditional costumes were beautiful, but Iโ€™m not so sure traditional Korean music is really my cup of tea. The exciting drumming finale was the best part.


To be honest, Iโ€™m not so sure I wouldโ€™ve gone to seeโ€ฆ
