Li-Shimin was no doubt one of the great rulers and emperors that existed in Tang China. He would often listen and reapect the members of his council. He was known for his ambition and dedication to invade Goguryeo (Korean Kingdom). Li-Shimin was sucessfull at gathering an army of almost 1 Million soilders. He had occupied Liadong Fortress which was known to be one of Koreas best strongholds at the time. He had reached as far as Ansi Castle threatining Goguryeo Capital (Pyongyang). As a result he had lost his eye after being hit by an arrow shot by the Korean General named Yang Manchun. After a defeat he had struggled to head back to Tang China being chased by Supreme Commander Yeon Gaesomun of Goguryeo and his army of 135,000. Li-Shimin died from an ilness shortly after the wars between Tang-Goguryeo.
