Empress Chun-Chu was the female figure in Goryeo (Korean Kingdom) to rule as a regent being the mother to Crown Prince Song. She was expecially known for her strugle against Khitan (Ancient Mongolian Tribes). She had avoided many invasions by attending the battlefields herself. Due to her wise decisions many of the nobles from the council and court supported her. By this way she was noted down to history to be one of the strongest female figures in Korean history!
